Schedule

  • Full-Time Flexible: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Earlier start and finish times available if preferred
  • In-office start and end at your assigned branch location

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Pool Diagnostics & Repairs
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial pool systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, filters, heaters, automation systems, chemical controllers, plumbing, valves, circulation systems, and other critical components
    • Perform repairs that meet industry standards while minimizing downtime and ensuring long-term system reliability
  • High-Quality Repair Quotes
    • Provide clear, detailed, and professional repair quotes focused on improving system efficiency, maintaining regulatory compliance, and utilizing high-quality products backed by strong manufacturer warranties
    • Evaluate customer needs and recommend solutions that balance performance, longevity, safety, and budget considerations
  • Customer Communication
    • Before Service: Contact customers, property managers, or facility representatives prior to arrival to confirm appointments, communicate expected arrival times, and answer preliminary questions
    • During Service: Clearly explain diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, safety concerns, and available options while keeping stakeholders informed throughout the repair process
    • After Service: Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction, answer additional questions, and identify opportunities for future repairs or system improvements. Build long-term relationships through proactive communication and professional service
  • Internal Team Communication
    • Actively participate in team communication through Slack and other company platforms
    • Provide updates on repair progress, share technical findings, collaborate on troubleshooting efforts, and communicate effectively with technicians, service managers, and leadership to support operational excellence
  • Quality Assurance
    • Deliver exceptional workmanship and attention to detail on every repair
    • Ensure repairs meet or exceed company quality standards and customer expectations
    • When issues arise, respond quickly by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining transparent communication with customers and internal teams
  • Customer Service
    • Represent Poolie professionally at all times by maintaining a customer-first mindset, addressing concerns promptly, and providing practical solutions that align with our commitment to quality and safety
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with service, maintenance, and leadership teams to support daily operations, share technical expertise, mentor less experienced technicians when appropriate, and contribute to a positive team culture

Requirements

  • Must-Haves
    • Previous experience in commercial pool repair, pool service, or aquatic facility maintenance
    • Strong knowledge of commercial pool equipment, hydraulics, filtration systems, automation systems, and water circulation systems
    • Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of pool equipment and mechanical systems
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Team-player mentality with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
  • Nice-to-Haves
    • RAIL (Residential Appliance Installer License) or equivalent licensing, where required
    • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
    • Experience with commercial automation and chemical controller systems
    • Experience training or mentoring technicians
    • Strong understanding of estimating and quoting repairs based on customer needs and facility requirements
    • Experience working with HOAs, multifamily communities, hotels, schools, municipalities, or aquatic facilities

Not quite a Repair Technician yet? We're actively seeking experienced technicians who can independently diagnose, troubleshoot, quote, and repair pool equipment and systems. However, if you have strong pool industry experience, a solid understanding of pool equipment and filtration systems, and are working toward becoming a full-time Repair Technician, we'd still love to hear from you. Exceptional candidates who may not yet meet all Repair Technician requirements (including the RAIL) could be considered for a Pool Filter Service Technician position, with opportunities for advancement into a Repair Technician role as their technical skills and experience grow.
