Commercial Plumbing Assistant Field Supervisor

About the role

H and G Systems is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Assistant Field Supervisor to support plumbing operations across multiple commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for experienced plumbing foremen, lead plumbers, or emerging field leaders who are ready to expand their responsibilities and develop into future superintendent-level positions.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations across multiple commercial plumbing construction projects
• Aid with labor planning, manpower coordination, scheduling, and project execution
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation requirements
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and workforce needs with project teams
• Maintain quality control, productivity, and jobsite progress
• Identify field issues early and help implement effective solutions
• Maintain communication between project managers, office personnel, foremen, and field crews
• Support apprentice development and workforce training initiatives
• Ensure projects comply with applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, and company expectations
• Assist senior field leadership with project planning, workforce development, and operational oversight

Qualifications

• Active Texas Journeyman Plumbing License required
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing experience
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of leadership experience as a foreman, lead plumber, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and fuel gas systems
• Understanding of plumbing codes, fuel gas codes, and commercial construction practices
• Medical gas experience is a plus
• Experience supporting crew coordination, scheduling, and field operations
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Leadership mindset with a desire for long-term advancement
