Commercial Pipefitting/Welding Superintendent II

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of complex piping systems on commercial and industrial projects.
• Perform advanced welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), threading, and system alignments.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair of system issues, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
• Conduct and oversee pressure testing for system integrity.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Manage workflow, assign tasks, and oversee productivity on job sites.
• Represent pipefitting discipline in project planning and safety meetings.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety in all work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or licensure as a pipefitter preferred.
• 6-7+ years of progressive pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Mastery of welding, system design interpretation, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership ability to manage teams and oversee job site operations.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English required.
• Self-starter and willingness to learn.
• Certification or completion of an apprenticeship in pipefitting preferred.
• Experience with commercial/industrial piping systems.
• 6G welding certification preferred but must also have commercial piping knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.

Travel is required.
