Commercial Performance & Insights Analyst
About the role
The Commercial Performance & Insights Analyst role will be responsible for analyzing market and competitor intelligence to provide a holistic view of Primark USA’s financial and commercial performance. Reporting into the US Head of FP&A and working closely with colleagues across FP&A and the Global Insights team, this role will connect external market dynamics and competitive trends with internal financial results to enhance performance visibility and decision-making.
This is a newly created role within the Primark US team during an exciting period of transformation. Primark’s US business is growing rapidly, with more than 40 brick-and-mortar retail stores across more than a dozen states and continued expansion planned.
Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with the US Head of FP&A and Global Insights team, input to the design and hold responsibility for reporting Primark and competitor performance. Agree on measurement KPIs and frameworks for a consistent, clear story on performance. Partner with the Consumer Insights Manager to build your knowledge of Primark’s target customers, their behaviours, needs, and motivations and use this knowledge to add context to performance reporting.
- Define how to use Economic indicators, Market reporting tools, Internal Financial data and Customer transactional data to build a complete picture of Primark sales performance.
- Ensure effects of Market, Channel, Category and Marketing performance are captured in analysis.
- Work to agreed measurement frameworks and ensure these frameworks are embedded in business decision making.
- Review the availability and integrity of additional market intelligence sources and provide a view on whether Primark should acquire additional data.
- Create a standard fact-pack on syndicated market indicators and periodically refresh the fact-pack with new and up-to-date information.
- Conduct diagnostic analysis on influencing factors on Primark performance and provide recommendations on how to improve performance.
Requirements
Previous experience in an Analytics role ideally in retail or ecommerce, with experience working within or closely supporting Strategy and/or Finance teams. Experience working with and analysing syndicated data and building measurement frameworks and dashboards.
- Highly tech and data savvy, with proficiency in dashboard creation and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and strong quantitative skills.
- Curious about customers and competitors, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with excellent planning and organisation skills.
Qualifications
Essential knowledge, education, skills, and experience for the role include experience in an Analytics role, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $97,000 - $130,000.
