Western Midstream seeks a Commercial Operations Representative to join the Midstream scheduling organization in The Woodlands, TX office. This role focuses on midstream scheduling for Western Midstream operated assets.
Qualifications

- Ability to develop and maintain critical relationships both internally and externally across diverse stakeholder groups on a 24/7 basis when on duty, including remaining in contact at night and on weekends as needed
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines while demonstrating a commonsense approach to problem solving
- Seeks additional responsibilities as learning progression occurs
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Experience in gas/midstream scheduling (desired)
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with producers to adjust nominations from wellhead and residue/NGLs/crude markets to mitigate imbalances on WES operated system
- Balance plant OBAs and monitor TIK shippers’ imbalances on gathering system
- Monitor and balance NGL allocation on downstream pipes
- Confirm all daily nomination activity on residue pipelines
- Monitor Cygnet to ensure field is flowing efficiently and within contractual bounds
- Work with field operations to make set-point changes to physically deliver according to confirmed nominations
- Calculate contractual or actual plant shrink, plant fuel, and field fuel
- Coordinate with WES personnel, working interest owners, production operators, and pipeline personnel on operational issues
- Notify downstream marketing of critical upstream and downstream issues prior to morning trading activity whenever possible
- Coordinate with Commercial Development and manage events impacting business, such as new wells, new lines, company divestitures, outages, processing elections, etc.
- Maintain adequate daily and monthly records, including operational events, force majeure, etc., for audit trail and backup coverage
- Coordinate with midstream accounting on any billing and reconciliation issues
- Provide end-of-the-month reports to accounting and customers
- Provide weekly reports to customers
- Maintain EMK3 system daily
- Establish and maintain industry contacts and relationships with customers, pipelines, operators, and other working interest owners
- Cross-train with other team members to enable vacation and weekend coverage
- Provide monthly estimates/availabilities to downstream marketing
- Perform evening, weekend, and holiday on-call duties
- Provide upper management with reports to reflect actual vs. forecasted flows
- Analyze and suggest ethane rejection or recovery for operated plants by monitoring operations and economics
Schedule
- Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday
- Monday–Thursday: 9 hours per day; Friday: 4 hours
- On-call/after-hours support required as needed
Travel will be required up to 5%. This position is not eligible for relocation.
