Commercial Operations Specialist
About the role
The Commercial Support Specialist will serve as a central coordination point for maintaining clarity and alignment around customer sales order activity. This role supports the organization by ensuring order information remains accurate, visible, and well-organized, while facilitating communication and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the organization by maintaining clear, accurate visibility into customer sales orders, ensuring updates and changes are communicated and reflected across teams.
- Work closely with internal partners — including Planning, Finance, Production, Quality, and Logistics — to understand evolving order requirements and ensure alignment across business functions.
- Track ongoing changes such as shipment progress, quantity updates, amendments, and other adjustments, ensuring stakeholders remain informed and records remain current.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive documentation related to sales orders, updates, and key communications to support operational clarity and continuity.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies or gaps in order information, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate order status.
- Collaborate across Commercial Operations and adjacent teams to support projects, ensuring timely follow-through and smooth execution of operational activities.
- Prepare or update internal materials—including summaries, trackers, reports, and order-related briefs—that help teams understand current order status and upcoming actions.
- Gather feedback and observations from daily order activity to help identify process improvements, highlight risks, and support refinements to Commercial Operations workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in operations coordination, order management, project coordination, project management or commercial support.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of rapid-change information.
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills across multiple functions.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and general document management tools.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with solar energy industry and manufacturing processes.
- Digital Fluency: Ability to learn and develop new tools, platforms, and dashboards.
- SAP experience a plus.
Skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and tracking discipline.

Pay
The range for this position is $77,234.00 - $106,197.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
