Position Summary
The Commercial Marketing Analyst will support the commercial business development of Chord Energy’s midstream assets. This includes assessing and optimizing existing assets, building new assets, and acquiring midstream assets. The role involves building relationships with third-party producers and midstream companies, negotiating terms, and managing contracts.
Essential Job Functions
- Support the strategic business plan for produced water gathering and disposal, freshwater and reuse of produced water, crude oil gathering, and gas gathering and processing
- Negotiate with third-party producers and midstream companies
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party producers and midstream business partners
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other Marketing functions, Accounting, Reservoir, Planning, Operations, and other groups
- Absorb and analyze risks, identify opportunities, and recommend ways to create value through potential midstream deals
- Prepare presentations, reports, and midstream contract briefs
- Develop reporting tools for data analysis
- Provide innovative perspectives to establish efficient processes
- Perform additional duties as requested based on company needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of industry experience or similar
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Effective communicator with good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with various internal and external contacts
- Self-starter with strong initiative and positive attitude
- Team player with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic
- Attention to details and timely completion of required tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial negotiations and contract experience
- Experience managing crude oil, gas, and water contracts
- Project valuation experience
