Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Administer all commercial and contractual matters relating to a specific Project
• Minimize commercial risk and maximize opportunity through the identification and monitoring of potential risks
• Compile potential change orders and claims
• Record and forecast cost to accurately understand Project’s performance
• Develop a culture of commercial awareness across the project
• Establish a commercial strategy with clear commercial objectives
• Review and respond to correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to minimize STV liability
• Submit potential change orders in accordance with Project contractual obligations
• Prepare and administer sub-consultant agreements
• Manage claims to ensure timely responses
• Provide accurate P&L and CTC reports
• Develop and encourage direct staff to take responsibility for sections of the project
• Fulfill any other tasks within the role's contemplation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience with large-scale commercial builder contracting, preferably within the AEC market
• Strong financial background with experience of understanding contractual law
• Technical knowledge in commercial, contract, and risk management
• Exposure to large engineering and construction projects
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to resolve problems independently and operate efficiently under pressure
