Commercial Loans Manager - Albany, NY

About the role

The Commercial Loans Manager reports to the Vice President of Commercial Loans and is responsible for managing the commercial loan portfolio. This role is exempt and supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Expert Guidance: Leverage banking expertise to guide clients through the commercial lending process.
• Persuasive Proposal Development: Prepare compelling loan proposals and documentation.
• Confident Communication: Present and explain financial solutions to clients.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients.
• Efficient Time Management: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Multitasking Excellence: Navigate a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous Organization: Maintain detailed records and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or banking management.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English; bilingual a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment.
• Ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (evenings/weekends as needed).

Physical Demands

Primarily sedentary; includes use of standard office equipment.
