About the role

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Operations Specialist to support the Commercial Loan Servicing (CLS) Specialty Servicing Group. This role supports a variety of specialty servicing segments and operational functions, requiring strong critical thinking, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex servicing scenarios. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who understands commercial lending operations, can assess operational impacts and risks, and effectively partners with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality client service and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support operational activities across specialty servicing portfolios, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established controls.
• Analyze complex servicing requests and transactions to identify risks, impacts, and appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with business partners and line of business leaders to support client needs and operational objectives.
• Perform and review reconciliations and other activities supporting financial and operational integrity.
• Evaluate non-routine transactions and exception scenarios using sound judgment and critical thinking.
• Escalate issues appropriately and challenge requests when necessary to maintain operational controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, service quality, and risk management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial Loan Operations, Loan Servicing, or a related banking environment.
• Experience of commercial lending products and servicing processes.
• Experience supporting specialty lending products or complex servicing functions preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to assess operational impacts.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn new business lines and processes quickly.

Exempt status: No (eligible for overtime pay). Workplace type: Office with flexible work arrangement possible.
