This role supports the department by handling a wide range of loan servicing tasks for a commercial or commercial real estate loan portfolio with varying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new loan proposal submissions of varying complexity and manage overall deal flow.
  • Onboard new loans in the Bank’s loan management system (LMS) and verify data accuracy based on supporting loan documentation.
  • File loan modification and property-related documents electronically.
  • Process monthly debt service and reserve payments, as needed.
  • Handle wire requests.
  • Maintain property tax and insurance information, including escrow analyses, payment facilitation, and filing of tax and insurance policy details.
  • Collect, verify, and file borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, credit checks, and related data.
  • Monitor compliance requirements (e.g., expiring flood certifications and UCC filings) to ensure adherence to Bank policy and loan agreements.
  • Train new and existing specialists in processes and procedures.
  • Follow Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in loan servicing or loan operations (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of banking experience (preferred).

Skills

  • Knowledge of loan/banking terms and commercial loan documents.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under exacting deadlines.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to operate standard business equipment and technology, with or without accommodation.
