About the role

Join our Commercial Lending team and help local businesses thrive by supporting the full commercial loan lifecycle—origination, processing, onboarding, closing, quality control, and servicing. You’ll collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to deliver exceptional member experiences while contributing to the Credit Union’s growth and financial stability.

Responsibilities

  • Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements, including BSA, OFAC, AML, Identity Theft Red Flags, and other related policies.
  • Support origination, onboarding, servicing, and maintenance of the commercial loan portfolio by:
    • Providing superior service and building positive relationships with members, borrowers, and their representatives.
    • Maintaining high levels of contact with the Commercial Team and borrowers to ensure timely fulfillment of document requirements for processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing.
    • Processing commercial loan requests from application through closing, including reviewing loan conditions and following up with the Commercial Loan Team.
    • Preparing loan documents and auditing signed documents for completeness.
    • Facilitating loan funding, post-closing follow-up, and file quality control.
    • Coordinating professionally with in-house staff and external providers to ensure timely loan processing and closings.
    • Monitoring commercial loans through periodic reviews, analysis, and proper documentation.
    • Processing loan payments, advances, participation payments, construction loan management, core maintenance, HMDA tracking, payoff quotes, and reconveyances.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of commercial loans, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Make sound decisions based on department policies and procedures with a moderate level of professional discretion and autonomy.
  • Support inter- and intra-departmental operations and workflow by sharing information and cooperating with coworkers organization-wide.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to convey information clearly in writing, in person, and over the phone.
    • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
    • Strong relationship management skills.
    • Ability to accurately and timely onboard loans into the core system.
    • Proficiency using LaserPro or equivalent loan documentation platform.
    • Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and analyze data from diverse sources.
    • Ability to work independently with strong problem prevention and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to retain broad knowledge of department tasks and adapt to changing work environments.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Ability to build professional relationships with coworkers, members, and external agencies.
  • Qualifications:
    • Associate degree in business-related coursework (e.g., accounting, finance, business, economics) or equivalent professional experience and industry-specific training in real estate and/or commercial lending.
    • 5–7 years of progressive responsibilities in financial institution lending, with emphasis on commercial and/or real estate lending operations.
    • 3–5 years of business banking relationship/account management or similar experience.
    • Proven ability to use LaserPro or equivalent loan documentation platform.
    • Valid Oregon driver’s license.
    • Bondable status.

Pay

Non-Exempt: $30.15 – $37.69 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience.

Schedule

This position is in-person, 100% on-site in Oregon City, OR.
