Commercial Loan Officer

About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship-driven lender with at least 10+ years of commercial lending experience who enjoys developing new business and building long-term client relationships. The role will focus primarily on C&I lending, with some commercial real estate. There are some ag loans in this branch's portfolio, and any knowledge of ag lending or a farm background would be a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Underwrite and originate commercial loans, including C&I and commercial real estate
• Manage loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Build and maintain a pipeline of loan applications
• Collaborate with other departments within the bank to ensure seamless service to clients
• Grow both loans and deposits through business development

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of commercial lending experience
• Experience with C&I and commercial real estate lending
• Knowledge of ag lending or a farm background is a plus
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage loan portfolios and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field
• CLM (Certified Commercial Lending Manager) certification preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume lending environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
