About the role

The Credit Products Commercial Loan Fulfillment Specialist at Regions is responsible for orchestrating the closing process for all members of the Relationship Team and vendors associated with each loan. This role involves drafting and reviewing loan documentation, obtaining necessary documents, ensuring compliance with loan approvals, and communicating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and reviews loan documentation ranging from simple to high volume or high complexity for commercial purpose loans in a multi-state environment
  • Understands the risks associated with closing various types of commercial loans
  • Obtains the necessary documents to evidence the debt and secure the loan
  • Ensures the loan is closed per loan approval and that supporting documentation conforms to loan approval and policy
  • Identifies potential issues related to documentation, policy or regulatory requirements and remediate prior to closing
  • Communicates frequently with business partners throughout the closing process
  • Complies with departmental performance level metrics
  • Contributes to the formulation of plans to mitigate risks
  • Understands the client's needs and identifies opportunities to improve and resolve client service issues related to the extension of commercial credit
  • Serves in a problem-solving capacity by providing client service for loan products
  • Addresses loan setup issues promptly to ensure system data integrity
  • Promotes teamwork by partnering with one (1) or more of the following segments: Commercial Banking, Branch Small Business, Private Wealth, Real Estate Banking (includes Home Builder Finance, Income Property Finance, Affordable Housing, Real Estate Corporate Banking), Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized & Diversified Industries, and Problem Asset Management
  • Supports Real Estate Banking, Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized & Diversified Industries, and Problem Asset Management by ensuring loans are booked timely, disbursing loan proceeds in accordance with loan approval, and packaging loan documents

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four (4) years of related banking experience
  • General knowledge of insurance requirements and other property due diligence necessary for real estate transactions
  • General knowledge of syndicated transactions and the ability to collaborate with Capital Markets and other lenders for agent and non-agent deals if supporting Real Estate Banking, Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized & Diversified Industries, and Problem Asset Management

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous Commercial Banking and/or Commercial Equipment Leasing Experience

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates knowledge of commercial credit, regulatory (including BSA/AML, Beneficial Ownership, OFAC, Flood Regulations) and documentation policies
