At ServisFirst, Our Name is Our Mission. Duties And Responsibilities The Commercial Loan Assistant is responsible for coordinating the closing and servicing of the Region’s loan portfolio. Assignments vary based upon current needs and directions from the Regional President and Commercial Banker. The Incumbent Will Provide ongoing relationship servicing with current clients to maintain goodwill and gain additional businessRespond to client phone calls, inquiries and requests regarding accounts within 24 hoursCoordinate all aspects of loan closings including but not limited to:Requesting documents from Loan OperationsEngaging counsel to represent the BankObtaining and reviewing due diligence itemsReviewing draft loan documents to ensure compliance with approved termsReviewing draft loan documents to ensure inclusion of Bank required languageEngage or interact with title agents and insurance agents as applicablePrepare wire request forms to fund loan proceeds following closingReview executed documents before forwarding to Loan OperationsPrepare booking instructions memo if applicableReview booked loan to ensure compliance with approved termsReconcile internal GL accounts associated with appraisal fees and expensesCreate CIF records for new customers who have not yet opened a deposit accountCoordinate and assist customer, lender, and back office personnel in resolving loan servicing issuesHandle client requests including but not limited to advancing on lines of credit, setting up auto-debit, etc.Monitor real estate secured loans to ensure ad valorem taxes are paidMonitor insurance tracking reports and contact customer, lender, and/or insurance agent to obtain evidence of coverageCall clients on past due accounts to request paymentsCustomer service tasks involving deposit account maintenanceResponsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalentMinimum ten (10) years’ related banking or financial services experience required Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with customers to research and resolve issues and provide follow-up as neededExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelExperience in a position requiring attention to detail, as demonstrated in previous experience balancing accounts, preparing reports, gathering required documents or similarExperience working independently Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of: Sustained standing and sittingFrequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbsNormal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise EOE/AA
