Commercial Litigation Attorney (Big Law Background, AI-Focused)
About the role
The AI Native Division of a Fortune 100 Telecom Legal Department is looking for a lawyer with 5+ years' experience with Commercial Litigation for a 6 month engagement starting as soon as possible. The work will involve performing litigation tasks such as research, analysis, memo drafting, discovery requests and responses, fact development, chronologies, MTD, MSJ, depo prep, and trial prep. Candidates whose experience is primarily managing outside counsel rather than performing these tasks directly are unlikely to be a fit. The top litigation matters candidates will be working on and must have prior experience with are complex accounting, environmental, cyber, breach of contract, and employment issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform litigation tasks such as research, analysis, memo drafting, discovery requests and responses, fact development, chronologies, MTD, MSJ, depo prep, and trial prep.
- Manage and coordinate with outside counsel on complex litigation matters.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including memos, briefs, and motions.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on relevant legal issues.
- Develop and present chronologies and other key documents related to litigation cases.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests and participate in depositions and trials.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of motions and other legal filings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Commercial Litigation.
- Prior experience with complex accounting, environmental, cyber, breach of contract, and employment issues.
- Experience using AI tools, or a strong willingness to use them.
- Ability to work full-time starting as soon as possible.
- Remote work location.
Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Experience with legal research and document preparation.

Pay
$100 - $130 per hour, flexible based on experience.
