Commercial Litigation Attorney

About the role

A growing New York law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The attorney will represent financial institutions, lenders, property owners, businesses, and other clients in a broad range of real estate and commercial litigation matters. The role offers hands-on litigation experience with sophisticated financial and real estate clients, the opportunity to handle matters from inception through resolution, mentorship and professional growth opportunities, and a collaborative, fully onsite work environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent financial institutions, lenders, property owners, businesses, and other clients in real estate and commercial litigation matters.
• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience (preferred).
• Experience with real estate litigation, foreclosure, landlord-tenant, commercial litigation, or creditors' rights (a plus).

Skills

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent organization and case‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and client‑service skills.
• Courtroom and motion practice experience (preferred).

Pay

$120,000 – $150,000 per year base salary.
