About the role
The Stevens & Lee Litigation Group is seeking a skilled, upper-level associate with 4-7 years of commercial litigation experience in Delaware. This position offers the opportunity for hands-on litigation, including courtroom experience and deposition practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present legal strategies to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and argue cases before the Delaware Chancery Court.
- Manage and conduct depositions, including taking and defending.
- Handle discovery and e-discovery processes.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs as needed.
- Participate in trials and class actions, if applicable.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Delaware.
- Pennsylvania or New Jersey admission is preferred.
Qualifications
- Developed skills in courtroom experience and deposition practice.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and in teams.
- Experience in DE Chancery Court, deposition practice, discovery and eDiscovery, oral argument, witness preparation, drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Experience with trials and class actions is a plus.
