Commercial Litigation Associate (1-3 years): Salt Lake City, UT

About the role

Holland & Hart is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join the firm in its Salt Lake City location. We're looking for candidates who are eager and willing to work primarily on-site alongside their colleagues, where they'll receive the mentorship and guidance essential at this career level. Remote work options remain available when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex litigation matters, particularly in creditors’ rights, business collections, or commercial bankruptcy.
• Show an energetic personality and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Exhibit excellent legal research and writing skills.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of top-tier law firm experience.
• An interest or experience in creditors’ rights, business collections, or commercial bankruptcy.
• An energetic personality and strong interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• A strong academic background, practical law school experience (law review, law journal, moot court, or trial advocacy team), and/or judicial clerkship experience.
• Professional references are required.

Compensation and expectations

Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts. Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits. Judicial clerks are eligible for a one-time bonus immediately following the completion of a judicial clerkship with a federal appellate, federal district, tax court, state supreme court, or state appellate court.
