The intern will work closely with the Underwriting team performing business-focus projects and tasks, propose ideas and contribute ways to grow and improve our strategic goals. Responsibilities Process pricing analysis for large Commercial Lines policies in preparation for renewalsParticipate in policy renewal meetings and assist in determining adequate pricing based on overall risk performanceAssist underwriters with gathering information on new business submissions, including reports from Dun and Bradstreet, OSHA, Safety and Fitness Electronic Records System (SAFER), as well as perform google and media searchesMonitor adverse experience and assigned risk favorable reports to determine if any action needs to be takenParticipate in weekly Underwriting meetingsAssist in execution of process improvement initiativesSupport other ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed Qualifications Currently enrolled as a sophomore in a four-year bachelor’s degree Risk Management & Insurance Program.Requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelDemonstrate analytical, verbal and communication skillsTrack record of taking initiative and managing multiple competing prioritiesCommutable to our West Trenton, New Jersey office.
