Commercial Lines Technical Assistant

About the role

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Technical Assistant to join our growing team in Tallahassee, FL. This role will assist in the commercial lines department in order to gain technical knowledge and learn the processes and procedures of Brown & Brown. Primary duties may include general clerical functions and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with policy and endorsement checking for commercial P&C accounts.
• Assist with the submission process, including claims analysis, updating accords, and supplemental apps.
• Assist with the preparation of proposals and account overviews.
• Assist with loss runs, MVR orders, and certificates of insurance.
• Perform clerical functions including, but not limited to scanning, proofreading, and photocopying documents.
• Assist with entering data into applications as needed.
• Review, file, and assign documents/tasks into ImageRight.
• Access various carrier sites to download policy documents.
• Back up the front desk as needed.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
