Responsibilities

  • Maintain and exceed sales targets as set by management.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients, gather necessary information, and schedule appointments.
  • Develop and present new business proposals to prospective clients.
  • Ensure all client accounts are compliant with agency standards.
  • Create and maintain payment plans for clients.
  • Contact existing clients regularly to provide service and address their needs.
  • Offer professional advice to help clients improve their risk management strategies.
  • Pursue additional coverage and policies for existing clients.
  • Collaborate with other producers to share leads and participate in joint sales efforts.
  • Attend and contribute to regular sales meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and representatives.
  • Aid the marketing team in securing and negotiating quotes and coverage placements.
  • Achieve personal development goals set by agency management.
  • Present a professional and positive image for the agency.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agency sales (preferred).
  • Professional designations (highly desirable).
  • Property, Casualty, Life & Health licenses (a significant plus).
  • A proven track record of successful sales and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly.
  • A proactive approach to generating new business and retaining existing clients.
  • Adequate understanding of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
  • The ability to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects.
