Responsibilities
- Maintain and exceed sales targets as set by management.
- Identify and qualify potential clients, gather necessary information, and schedule appointments.
- Develop and present new business proposals to prospective clients.
- Ensure all client accounts are compliant with agency standards.
- Create and maintain payment plans for clients.
- Contact existing clients regularly to provide service and address their needs.
- Offer professional advice to help clients improve their risk management strategies.
- Pursue additional coverage and policies for existing clients.
- Collaborate with other producers to share leads and participate in joint sales efforts.
- Attend and contribute to regular sales meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and representatives.
- Aid the marketing team in securing and negotiating quotes and coverage placements.
- Achieve personal development goals set by agency management.
- Present a professional and positive image for the agency.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business or finance (preferred).
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance agency sales (preferred).
- Professional designations (highly desirable).
- Property, Casualty, Life & Health licenses (a significant plus).
- A proven track record of successful sales and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex insurance information clearly.
- A proactive approach to generating new business and retaining existing clients.
- Adequate understanding of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
- The ability to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects.
