Commercial Lines Insurance Inspector - 1099 w W2 Possibility

About the role

We are seeking experienced inspectors to complete insurance underwriting inspections for our insurance company customers. Services include commercial & residential inspections, and workers’ compensation inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insured businesses to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour the premises.
• Take measurements and take photos as needed.
• Identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in various locations, with varying amounts of work per week.
• Must have an insured, reliable vehicle, access to high-speed internet, and a digital camera.
• Earnings are commission-based, based on the inspection's length and complexity.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• A strong work ethic.
• A high degree of personal integrity.
• Attention to detail.
• Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person, with policyholders (insureds), clients, and their representatives.
