About the role
The Account Manager's main role is to ensure customer satisfaction and client retention by delivering timely, consistent and exceptional service for an assigned book of business. The incumbent performs every function within the department, shares responsibility of the department in the event of an absence and helps other departments when needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and ensure superior service.
- Receive phone calls from clients and carriers and comply with requests.
- Work independently to resolve client issues and discrepancies with some assistance from sales executive when needed.
- Coordinate with sales executive to discuss renewal strategy and prepare professional insurance summary.
- Prepare quality submissions to carriers, review and analyze quotations received from carriers and prepare professional and accurate proposals for presentation to clients.
- Maintain fluency in all company interfacing and product guidelines for rating and making changes.
- Responsible for the data integrity of information within the agency management system.
- Maintain and prioritize workload, including work assigned to Account Technician by AM.
- Maintain familiarity with and follow agency workflows and procedures.
- Perform contract review with respect to insurance requirements and issue non-standard certificates.
- Maintain suspense system to follow up on outstanding items.
- Collaborate in a professional manner with all clients, carriers and teammates.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Understand, report, respond to, manage and monitor risk encountered daily as required by F.N.B. Corporation’s risk management program.
- Adhere to regulatory laws and guidelines to achieve superior levels of compliance.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
- Property and Casualty Insurance License in the state of PA (required).
- Insurance designation (preferred).

- Proficiency in MS Word (Basic), MS Excel (Intermediate), and MS PowerPoint (Basic).
- Experience in commercial lines coverage and underwriting, with technical knowledge and understanding of all forms of coverage and risk alternatives.
