Job Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Review client insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Cook up policy renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
- Work with underwriters to negotiate coverage and obtain competitive terms.
- Support account retention and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policies and coverage.
- Review coverage adequacy and recommend adjustments when necessary.
- Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and internal departments.
- Aid in benefits administration when applicable.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.
Qualifications And Certifications
- Experience managing Commercial Lines insurance accounts.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty insurance products.
- Experience in account management within an independent insurance agency or brokerage.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Experience handling policy renewals, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Agency Management Systems.
- State Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred or required based on state regulations.
- CIC, CISR, or similar insurance designation is a plus.
