Job Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Review client insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Cook up policy renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
  • Work with underwriters to negotiate coverage and obtain competitive terms.
  • Support account retention and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policies and coverage.
  • Review coverage adequacy and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and internal departments.
  • Aid in benefits administration when applicable.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.

Qualifications And Certifications

  • Experience managing Commercial Lines insurance accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty insurance products.
  • Experience in account management within an independent insurance agency or brokerage.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
  • Experience handling policy renewals, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Agency Management Systems.
  • State Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred or required based on state regulations.
  • CIC, CISR, or similar insurance designation is a plus.
