Commercial Lines Account Manager
About the role
As the main client contact and account coordinator for an assigned book of business, you will use appropriate judgment and decision-making skills to provide service for customer accounts and transactions in support of the production and retention of the business. This position is responsible for building, expanding, and solidifying relationships with clients at all levels within the company, leading appropriate resources to address client needs, including risk identification and resolution of underwriting, policy, accounting, and claims issues. As the Lead Account Executive, you will also train and mentor new teammates.
Responsibilities
- Service commercial accounts with general coverage knowledge and counsel for Account Executives, Account Managers, and Producers.
- Develop account partnerships by accompanying producers to client visits and presentations.
- Conduct insurance coverage reviews, prepare summaries, and provide them to producers for completion with the insured.
- Obtain renewal applications and copies of prior applications.
- Order current loss runs and other documents needed for renewal or marketing processes.
- Submit complete and accurate renewal information to incumbent carrier(s).
- Issue binders, auto ID cards, and order renewal certificates of insurance.
- Provide or coordinate carrier services as needed, such as claim reviews, loss control visits, and premium allocations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional telephone demeanor.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Qualifications
- P&C Licensed preferred.
- 3-5+ years of insurance experience preferred.
- Professional office environment experience.
- College degree preferred.
