Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to serve as the senior technical and strategic lead for assigned client accounts. In this role, you will partner with Producers, Account Managers, and clients to deliver expert insurance guidance, strengthen client relationships, and support retention and growth across a complex commercial book of business. This position is ideal for a client-focused insurance professional who can build executive-level relationships, advise on program structure and risk strategy, and help clients achieve stronger underwriting results and long-term cost control. Responsibilities Serve as senior client relationship manager for assigned accounts and maintain executive-level relationshipsAct as primary client advisor when Producers are unavailable or focused on new business developmentParticipate in client meetings, stewardship reviews, and strategic planning discussionsProvide consultative guidance on insurance program design and risk management strategiesEvaluate client operations, exposures, and loss trends to identify opportunities for risk mitigationAnalyze loss runs and claims data to develop strategies to reduce claim frequency and severityLead strategic marketing and placement of complex new and renewal businessEngage directly with carrier underwriters to negotiate coverage structure, pricing, and termsServe as senior technical resource and mentor to Account Managers and AssistantsReview complex submissions, proposals, and insurance program structuresIdentify opportunities to improve client risk profile and insurance program effectivenessSupport agency retention, growth, and profitability objectives Compensation & Career Opportunity Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to serve as strategic advisor on large, complex commercial accountsLeadership role within a growing commercial insurance teamLong-term career growth within a well-established independent insurance agency Requirements Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance and risk managementActive Property & Casualty insurance license requiredCPCU, ARM, or other advanced insurance or risk management designations strongly preferredAdvanced knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and risk management principlesStrong knowledge of underwriting practices and carrier marketsExceptional client relationship management and advisory skillsStrong analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilitiesHigh proficiency with agency management systems; Applied EPIC preferredStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Work Environment & Expectations Full-time, in-office positionOccasional travel to client locations may be requiredParticipation in client meetings and strategic planning discussionsMay require availability outside normal business hours during renewal cycles or critical client needs
