Commercial Internship Program - Summer 2027

About the role

The Commercial Internship Program at Capital One offers a ten-week paid internship spanning from June through August 2027. Participants must be located in the continental United States and attend their assigned location in person, adhering to Capital One’s hybrid working model. Successful interns may be considered for full-time positions within the company’s rotational programs, starting six to one year after the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expected graduation by July 2028 or earlier
• Must continue in the same course of study as your most recent full-time degree program following the internship
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a relevant field
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and writing skills
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team-oriented traits
• Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles
• Intellectually curious and forward-thinking
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms and demonstrated ability to use AI for research, drafting, and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Conduct company and market research to create financial projections and forecasts
• Develop and execute business process optimization projects
• Analyze industry trends and macroeconomic factors for strategic initiatives
• Create loan proposals and credit file reviews focusing on compliance, accuracy, and credit risk
• Prepare presentations for clients and leadership on project, deal, and financial updates
• Participate in client experience improvement initiatives
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role vary by location:

• Cambridge, MA: $97,000 - $97,000
• Other locations: Refer to the pay range associated with the specific location
