Commercial Internship Program - Summer 2027

About the role

The Commercial Internship Program at Capital One offers a ten-week paid internship spanning from June through August 2027. Interns must be located in the continental United States and attend their assigned location in person, adhering to Capital One’s hybrid working model. Successful interns may be considered for full-time positions within the company’s rotational programs, starting six to one year after the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expected graduation by July 2028 or earlier
• Must continue in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following the internship
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a relevant field
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and writing skills
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team-oriented traits
• Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles
• Intellectually curious and forward-thinking
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms and demonstrated ability to use AI for research, drafting, and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Conduct company and market research to develop financial projections and forecasts
• Develop and execute business process optimization projects
• Analyze industry trends and macroeconomic factors for strategic initiatives
• Create loan proposals and credit file reviews for compliance, accuracy, and credit risk
• Create and present project, deal, and financial updates to clients and leadership
• Participate in client experience improvement initiatives
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment
