Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a growing client roster while meeting sales and service standards.
- Regularly and proactively review client needs.
- Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas and across other company services.
- Make effective presentations of insurance solutions based on client needs, not availability of specific products.
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through various methods.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
- Acquire detailed client information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation purposes.
- Transition new accounts to the client service team seamlessly.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, seminars, and events.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments and affiliated companies.
- Participate in continuing education and self-improvement.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Property/Casualty License Required (if licensed, maintain through continuing education).
- 3-5 years of proven successful sales or related experience, required.
- Insurance sales experience, preferred.
- Proven ability to achieve established sales quotas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience using contact management software.
- Working knowledge and competency in use of agency management system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other software as required by position.
- Ability to use menu-driven software.
- Ability to work independently.
- Assertive, self-starter.
- Ability to influence others.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
