Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Insurance Marketer to join a team. In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and placing new and renewal commercial insurance accounts with carriers to secure competitive coverage and pricing. You will play a key role in developing strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and wholesalers while ensuring that client needs are met with precision and professionalism. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized records of submissions, quotes, and marketing activities within agency systems
  • Market and place new and renewal commercial insurance accounts with carriers to secure competitive terms
  • Prepare and submit complete and accurate applications, loss summaries, and supporting documentation to carriers
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with underwriters to secure optimal options for clients
  • Analyze client exposures and identify coverage gaps to structure appropriate insurance programs
  • Collaborate with producers and account managers to implement placement strategies
  • Review carrier quotes, proposals, and binders for accuracy and completeness
  • Present marketing results and coverage comparisons to account managers, producers, or clients
  • Stay updated on insurance market trends, carrier appetites, and industry changes
  • Ensure timely renewals and new business placements before effective dates
  • Assist with remarketing accounts as needed due to pricing, coverage changes, or carrier requirements
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service and support to sales and service teams
  • Identify opportunities to enhance coverage or improve program structures for existing clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and wholesalers

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial insurance marketing or account management
  • Active 2-20 insurance license is required
  • Proven ability to analyze client needs and develop tailored insurance solutions
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance lines, particularly in hospitality and self-storage industries
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A builder mentality with a focus on improving processes, increasing efficiency, and scaling operations
