Commercial Insurance Inspector- (Jacksonville, FL.)

About the role

EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office, servicing onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Jacksonville, FL area and other locations within approximately 45 miles of Jacksonville.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports to insurance industry clients.
• Prepare reports containing information necessary to underwrite a commercial insurance policy, including recommendations to control and/or correct potential loss-producing conditions.
• Manage assignments you accept, secure customer appointments within a local territory, and complete work assignments on time.
• Evaluate businesses to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for insurance company clients.
• Survey commercial operations such as retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, and schools.
• Assess businesses for Property and General Liability coverage, as well as other commercial insurance lines including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety (all interested candidates are encouraged to apply).
• In lieu of experience, a 15-hour online certification option is available to qualify you.
