Commercial Insurance Inspector- (Georgetown, SC.)

About the role

EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. Work is performed from your own home or office, with onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Georgetown, SC area and other locations within approximately 40 miles of Georgetown.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and deliver risk control reports to insurance industry clients.
• Prepare reports containing information necessary for underwriting commercial insurance policies, including recommendations to control or correct potential loss-producing conditions.
• Manage accepted assignments, secure customer appointments within a local territory, and complete work on time.
• Evaluate businesses to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for insurance company clients.
• Survey a variety of commercial operations such as retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc.
• Focus most surveys on assessing Property and General Liability coverage, while also servicing Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk lines of business.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety.
• All interested candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications.
• In lieu of experience, a 15-hour online certification option is available to qualify candidates; fees are negotiable depending on experience and job specifics.
