Commercial HVAC-R Technician

The Role

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across NYC Metro and NJ
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and controls-related issues with accuracy and professionalism
• Work on equipment such as rooftop units, split systems, refrigeration systems, exhaust systems, make-up air units, boilers, chillers, and related commercial mechanical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance to help clients reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and extend equipment life
• Communicate clearly with clients, dispatch, service leadership, and team members about findings, repairs, recommendations, and next steps
• Represent Airlogix with professionalism, integrity, clean workmanship, and respect on every jobsite
• Support team growth by sharing knowledge, asking good questions, and contributing to a culture of excellence
• Follow safety standards, code requirements, and company procedures while working in commercial and industrial environments

Requirements

• Strong commercial HVAC-R service experience, preferably in commercial and/or industrial environments
• Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and controls issues
• EPA Certification required; Universal EPA strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean, insurable driving record
• OSHA/SST or applicable NYC jobsite safety credentials preferred
• Professional communication skills with clients, team members, and leadership
• Pride in your craft, strong work ethic, and the ability to take ownership of your calls

Qualifications

Competitive hourly pay: $35–$65/hour based on experience

What You Need To Succeed
