Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

About the role

Northern Arizona Refrigeration (NAR) is hiring Commercial HVAC/R Service Technicians to service convenience store & commercial customers throughout the Greater Phoenix area. We’re looking for technicians who take pride in their work, show up ready to get the job done, and want stability, support, and room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems for convenience store clients
• Work on equipment such as RTUs, split systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, and related controls
• Perform scheduled maintenance, emergency service calls, and system diagnostics
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal team members
• Complete accurate service tickets and documentation daily
• Follow safety procedures, company standards, and customer site requirements
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and a professional jobsite presence
• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed

Requirements

• 4–5 years of commercial HVAC/R service experience (with relevant trade school training preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to service work
• Dependable, positive, and professional attitude
• Willingness to work on call and overtime when needed
• EPA Universal certification required
• OSHA 10 or NATE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a federally compliant drug test and background check
