Commercial HVAC Project Manager (Cost Estimator)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial HVAC projects using software like HeavyBid and ProCore.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to develop project scopes and cost analyses.
  • Cover with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify requirements.
  • Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools for timely delivery.
  • Manage project execution, including procurement, subcontractor coordination, and site supervision.
  • Oversee site activities to ensure safety, quality, and timeline adherence.
  • Track progress, change orders, and documentation with construction management software.
  • Estimate material quantities and labor from blueprints and schematics.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and verify compliance.
  • Foster team communication for smooth project flow.
  • Handle contracts, change orders, and procurement with detailed records.

Technical Skills

  • Proven commercial HVAC estimating and project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or P3 for scheduling.
  • Expertise in reading, interpreting, and analyzing blueprints, schematics, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Hands-on construction management, including site supervision and trade coordination.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam for document review and ProCore for collaboration.

Functional Skills

  • Strong time management to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Contract management, procurement, and change order handling.
  • Site layout planning knowledge (Civil 3D a plus).
  • Estimating software experience (HeavyBid highly desirable).
