Install HVAC systems and all other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner, while also helping facilitate customer satisfaction and workplace safety.

Duties

• Install HVAC systems for commercial construction
• Cutting and threading pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machines
• Installation of sheet metal duct and HVAC equipment
• Lay out and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• EPA certification a plus
• 3-5 years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry, prefer commercial HVAC
• Past experience working on construction projects desired
• Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, specifications, and drawings
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
• Must have an honest and dependable personality
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment
• Strong ability to display professional company image
• Possession of valid driver's license with good record of driving and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong ability to write and read in English language
• Strong ability to lift items weighing up to 100lbs safely
• Strong ability to operate under severe temperature condition for long periods of time
• Strong ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
• When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions
• The noise in the work environment is often loud
• Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours
• Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times
