Commercial HVAC Installer
About the role
Install commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, VAV boxes, packaged units, ductless systems, and associated ductwork. Perform system retrofits, equipment replacements, and new construction installations in commercial buildings. Handle light residential installations and replacements as needed while maintaining the same professional standard of workmanship.
Read and interpret commercial blueprints, mechanical drawings, project specifications, and manufacturer documentation. Test, commission, and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times, following OSHA safety standards and company procedures. Deliver excellent customer service to building owners, property managers, team members, and other job-site contacts.
Requirements
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC installation experience
- Valid EPA Section 608 Certification, Type II or Universal
- Experience with commercial HVAC equipment such as RTUs, packaged units, split systems, heat pumps, VAV boxes, ductless systems, and associated ductwork
- Physically capable of lifting 75+ pounds and working at heights
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record
Nice to Have
- Journeyman or apprentice license
- Additional manufacturer training or equipment-specific certifications
- Experience with commercial equipment change-outs, ductwork coordination, and project-based installation work
