About the role

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Interior Designer to work full-time in our Raleigh, NC office with focus on our Commercial Multi-family team.

Responsibilities

  • Assists on the ideation, conceptual, and schematic design development of various projects to support client goals, budgets and timelines.
  • Participates in the design, production, and construction documentation phases of various commercial projects throughout the lifecycle of a project using Revit software.
  • Assists senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes.
  • Under supervision, develops preliminary space plans at a high level.
  • At direction of senior designers, may provide suggested details for interior design projects.
  • Researches and collects details for furniture and finish cost estimates. Assists with Procurement as needed.
  • Affords assistance with construction administration, RFIs, project submittals, and project site visits.
  • Maintains project schedules and maintains positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams.
  • Meets project schedules and maintains positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams.
  • Occasionally travels to support project tasks.
  • Desires to be versatile, self-motivated, and articulate.
  • Supports and is aware of the work of other designers and junior designers.
  • Displays strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited College or University.
  • Preferred minimum 5+ years related experience with multifamily, commercial, or hospitality projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of commercial FF&E products, design, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
  • Intermediate sketching and space planning skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
