As a Lead Installer, you’ll guide a crew on projects for some of Iowa and South Dakota’s most recognized healthcare, education, and business clients. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on installation or construction experience who’s ready to step into leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor an installation crew, setting the tone for teamwork and accountability
- Manage installation of MillerKnoll and other commercial furniture product lines
- Review drawings/blueprints and ensure installs meet project standards
- Troubleshoot issues on site and keep projects moving smoothly
- Communicate daily with the project team, clients, and contractors in a professional, solutions-focused way
- Train newer installers in Pigott’s standards and help build their skills
- Take ownership of job readiness, site preparation, and follow-through to client sign-off
Requirements
- Experience leading crews in installation, construction, carpentry, or a related field
- Hands-on skills with power tools, product assembly, and safe material handling
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or blueprints
- Strong communication and leadership—able to direct a team and keep projects on track
- High school diploma or GED (minimum); 2–3 years of related installation experience preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2 - 3 years related experience and/or training, including systems furniture installation; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Writing routine reports and correspondence
- Speaking effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization
- Fluent in English via telephone to manage customers, vendors, and/or other team members
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
