Commercial Finance Manager

About the Role

As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will deliver the execution of activities in support of business, supply chain, and operations. This role is essential to the organization, driving significant impact on business performance. You will provide financial advice and assistance on business issues, evaluate financial forecasts, and assess financial risks or opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Play a proactive role in providing financial advice and independent evaluation of financial forecasts and risk assessments.
• Support and monitor business opportunities by reviewing quoting and business proposals.
• Drive improvement in Core Operating Income and working capital metrics.
• Understand key drivers of income and working capital to maximize benefits for Jabil.
• Actively engage in current quarter operating metrics and long-term planning & strategy.
• Work closely with the Plant Finance Controller and Operational teams to review operational metrics and KPIs.
• Monitor initiatives supporting the Long-Term Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
• Support Supply Chain development management on initiatives improving material margin and working capital.
• Seek to add value to current processes, information systems, and business growth.
• Support Business Planning, budgeting/forecasting, and actual financial performance processes.
• Identify and challenge cost structures, providing modeling support to reduce costs.
• Create business case financial models and undertake sensitivity analysis.
• Provide commercial support and expertise to other team members.
• Ensure financial and commercial oversight for contract execution with customers.
• Perform decision support analysis for negotiating commercial terms of contractual/vendor relationships.
• Introduce and follow processes to establish key financial and business controls.
• Collaborate frequently with Business and Operational groups, as well as other Finance functions.
• Provide financial training and support to managers, focusing on financial targets, metrics, and variance analysis.
• Review all aspects of the business to prevent liability exposure, ensure cost recovery, and eliminate cost gaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of related Finance experience, with some in a manufacturing/operations environment, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial results and understand business drivers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and succinctly.
• Proven track record in demonstrating accountability, ownership, and a proactive approach.
• Strong influencing skills to persuade management and obtain buy-in.
• Strong reporting skills to display key information clearly and concisely.

Location

This role will be based on-site at our JDAS manufacturing facility in St. Petersburg, FL.
