About the role
The Commercial Finance Manager plays a crucial role in driving Traeger's channel and account growth strategies. This position serves as a strategic business partner to Sales, focusing on financial analysis, investment evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic channel profitability optimization in collaboration with Sales and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary business partner with the Sales Strategy team, facilitating analysis and fostering collaboration with the broader organization.
- Develop channel and account growth strategies that align with Traeger's overall business objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of current-state and future channel profitability to provide insights and recommendations for investment and growth decisions.
- Evaluate and quantify the financial impact of new growth initiatives and marketplace investments.
- Partner cross-functionally to review, negotiate, and manage account contracts and trade terms to ensure alignment with Traeger's strategic objectives.
- Develop financial analyses for ad-hoc projects and new business initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of related work experience, with proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather, interpret, and leverage data to drive financial decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with proficiency in tools like Adaptive Planning and Redshift/SQL being a plus.
- An attention to detail in developing management quality reporting and analytics for Senior Leadership.
- A strong ability to balance multiple, competing priorities and maintain strong organizational skills.
