About the Role
First American is looking to add a Commercial Escrow Officer to our growing National Commercial team. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting the team in handling the escrow and settlement components for commercial transactions ranging from single-site to high-liability multi-site. Responsibilities include establishing new commercial escrow accounts, processing escrow documents, and helping fund transactions. This position plays a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering employees and customers to deliver next-generation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track completion of title commitments for commercial transactions depending on the locality and corporate standards.
- Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies, and guarantees using the appropriate schedule of fees and charges.
- Work cross-functionally with Underwriting to review and approve documentation including deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions.
- Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with the terms of the contract.
- Complete closing by reviewing, recording, and filing documents, including preparing and distributing final closing statements and title, ensuring adherence to delivery dates and timelines.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction.
- Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale or refinance.
- Comply with regulatory requirements by adhering to and enforcing adherence to requirements.

- Flexible with the ability to multi-task and handle all aspects of title support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of commercial title and escrow-related experience.
Pay
$30.91 - $41.20 hourly.
