Commercial Energy Auditor
About the role
You will be in a customer-facing role meeting with commercial and industrial business owners and operators to install energy efficiency measures, conduct energy efficiency audits, pre- and post-installation verifications, and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Successful candidates will reside in or around San Antonio for frequent travel within the territory.
Responsibilities
- Travel daily throughout a defined territory (Company Vehicle Provided)
- Conduct entry-level commercial energy audits for small and mid-sized facilities
- Engage directly with customers and contractors to explain program offerings, encourage participation, and address basic questions
- Accurately document inspections, installations, and customer interactions in accordance with program requirements
- Perform on-site installation of energy efficiency measures, including physical labor and use of basic tools
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate basic technical or installation issues to program staff as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in industries such as construction, facility maintenance or installation
- Customer service skills

- Bending, crouching, kneeling frequently
- Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
- Use repetitive hand motion
- Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds
- Climb and work from a ladder
- Use power tools
Schedule
Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM Central Time (may vary depending on customer and site-specific requirements). This is not a work-from-home position; you will be in the field servicing customers.
Driving requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets CLEAResult's minimum safety standard
This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or require driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
Pay
$18.80 – $28.30 per hour, USD, hourly.
