Commercial Energy Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an entry level Commercial Energy Auditor to join our dynamic team. This role involves traveling throughout a defined territory to meet with commercial and industrial business owners and operators. You will conduct energy efficiency audits, install energy efficiency measures, and perform on-site verifications.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily throughout a defined territory
• Company Vehicle Provided
• Conduct entry-level commercial energy audits for small and mid-sized facilities
• Engage directly with customers and contractors to explain program offerings, encourage participation, and address basic questions
• Accurately document inspections, installations, and customer interactions in accordance with program requirements
• Perform on-site installation of energy efficiency measures, including physical labor and use of basic tools
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate basic technical or installation issues to program staff as needed

Requirements

You should have experience in industries such as construction, facility maintenance or installation. Customer service skills are essential. Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling frequently, sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, or pushing up to 50 pounds, climbing and working from a ladder, using power tools.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license in the state they are seeking employment in, and have a driving record that meets CLEAResult’s minimum safety standards. This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work, warehouse work, or driving on behalf of the company. Applicants must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.

Skills

Experience in construction, facility maintenance or installation, and strong customer service skills are required.

Pay

$18.80 - $28.30 per hour, depending on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology).

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM Central Time (may vary depending on customer and site-specific requirements)

Driving

Are at least 21 years of age
Valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets CLEAResult’s minimum safety standard
