Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code
  • Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types
  • Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers
  • Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation
  • Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
  • Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment
  • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4,000+ hours of electrician experience
  • Current state Electrical Apprentice license (per state requirements) preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification

Physical Requirements

  • Using many physical attributes (sitting, standing, walking for extended periods, climbing, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching overhead)
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly working from elevated spaces for extended periods (ladders, man lifts, scaffolding, reach booms)
  • Climbing ladder with 30 pounds
  • Balance on normal work surfaces
  • Comfortable in tight spaces (occasionally)
  • Reaching, handling, grasping, and pulling cables, wires, tools, and equipment
  • Focus close up and far away (with or without correction)
  • Distinguish color-coded wires
  • Use peripheral vision and exercise depth perception
  • Flexible, adaptable, and embraces change
  • Good troubleshooting ability
  • Embraces quality control processes
  • Good attention to detail
  • Follows process and procedure
  • Speaking, hearing, and seeing for communicating with employees and outside resources, as well as managing risks of a construction environment is required
