Commercial Electrician

About the role

Controlled Combustion is a 40‑year‑old full‑service commercial heating company with over 150 employees, managing 2,500 buildings for clients in the NYC area. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to work under the guidance of an in‑house Master Electrician and alongside seasoned electricians, performing various electrical tasks to maintain those buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, diagnostics/troubleshooting, and repair.
• Work with electrical conduit and bending piping.
• Use construction power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment.
• Help maintain the 2,500 buildings managed for clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the electrical field (commercial boiler controls/wiring experience is a plus but not required).
• OSHA training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical installations, maintenance, diagnostics/troubleshooting, repair, bending piping/electrical conduit, and construction power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment.

Pay

$35.00 – $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday to Friday; weekends as needed. Expected hours: no less than 40 per week.
