Commercial Electrical Project Manager

About the role

The JMA HR Solutions team at James Moore & Co., P.L. is partnering with Performance Electrical Contracting to find a Commercial Electrical Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial electrical project development, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to define and execute project scopes.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Develop accurate cost estimates, manage the project budget, track expenses, and handle change orders.
• Oversee safety compliance and quality control by conducting inspections and promoting safe practices.
• Serve clients and stakeholders as a primary point of contact, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
• Lead the project team, ensuring effective communication, accountability, and cohesion.
• Support the organization's business development efforts through ongoing client relationship management.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field/experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of electrical project management experience, with a strong focus on commercial and/or multi-family residential construction.
• Prominent track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and safety protocols.
• Experience with supervising and managing teams.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on work environments.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Fieldwire, ServiceTitan) is preferred.
• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
• Multi-family experience preferred.
