Description
The Opportunity involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver products to customers. Routes are typically 4-10 stops per route, involve unloading via lift gate with pallet jack, and transporting/palletizing products inside the customer's location. Drivers are expected to use Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and log all activity, adhering to state and federal regulations. Shifts are Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 AM, averaging 10-hour days, and requiring drivers to return home every night.
Requirements
- Current CDL Class A license
- No preventable motor vehicle violations within the last 12 months
- Current medical certification card
- One or more years' experience driving a tractor trailer
- General fluency in English required, verbal and written
- Basic computer literacy preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Offload Driver Assist 80/20 Electric Pallet Jack
- Customer Facing
Physical Demands
- Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
- Sit and drive for up to 10 hours of time without assistance
- Lift 50 pounds repeatedly and without assistance or equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
What You Will Impact
- Safely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of products and materials
- Performs vehicle inspections as required
- Operates mobile apps on the phone for ELD and proof of delivery
- Provides outstanding customer service during delivery
- Follows all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA, and Company safety program
- Ensures all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading
- Communicates effectively with operations staff about customer concerns
- Utilizes material handling equipment, such as hand trucks
