Commercial Driver

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Commercial Driver to join our growing team. American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Class A Commercial Driver to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. This route will cover the following territories: DALLAS, TX HOUSTON, TX AUSTIN, TX OKLAHOMA CITY, OK This position is a Monday - Friday work schedule, no overnights. Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties: Make multiple routes. Provide Customer ServiceBuild and maintain positive relationships with customersDeliver all material undamaged and on timeCommunicate customer service issues with operations and salesMounted forklift experience a plusFlexible schedule (3am-6am) start timesLayover flexibilityMust be flexible and assist in loading and offloading product from truck/trailer Preferred Experience: Minimum of one year of Class A driving experienceKnowledge of Manual transmissionClean DMV ReportCurrent CDL license preferredGood communication skillsGood paperwork accuracyGood attendance historyKnowledge of millwork products a plus Other important qualifications: Positive outgoing attitudeStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, goal orientedAbility to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentAbility to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere Work Environment: The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises. Expected pay for this role is between $28.45 to $31.44 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
